A special premiere took place on September 25, 2021 in the Bay of Novigrad: The Alpen Adria Swim Cup made its first stop on the Adriatic Sea. The Adriatic kick-off event was more than successful, the award ceremony for the overall ranking of the Alps-Adriatic Swim Cup – extravagant! The participants still talk about the After Show Party today. The Alpen Adria Swim Cup and Novigrad complement each other in all areas. A new hotspot has established itself in the open water swimming scene.

Novigrad offers the absolute best conditions for the 2022 cup final
The participants can choose from six different route lengths: The 10,000 m and 5,000 m distance leads in a circuit along the entire lagoon to the old town of Novigrad. The turning point is in front of the mole. You return on the same route, a triangular course has to be completed on the 3,400 m and 1,700 m distance.
Less ambitious swimmers will get their money's worth on a 500 m course as part of the "Everyone's Swim", as will young swimmers in the 500 m and 300 m Kids Race. So a swimming event for young and old, professionals and amateurs alike.
